China, Beijing. St. Michael's Church known as the 'French Church' was built in 1902 by the French Vincentian Order. It's the last church built by missionaries in China.
Former Legation Quarter: Once a tiny replica of Europe in the middle of the Chinese capital complete with clubs, hotels, bars, banks, department stores and a cinema. Now it's all gone. In 1937, armed soldiers guarded all entrances to the Quarter, today, anyone can stroll the European-style streets but many of the buildings house government offices where is not possible to enter.
