Beijing city wall: the wall that stretches from the base of the Tower, one of the few parts that remains intact, once was part of the Tartar Wall that surrounded the Imperial City of Peking. The Tartar Wall was used by Pamela to get from her home in Armour Factory Alley to the Legation Quarter, where many of her friends lived.
