As real estate analysts watch property developments mushroom across China, they are beginning to wonder if the real estate sector might be a house of cards. As an ever growing number of office towers and condominiums climb skywards China’s property prices continue to defy gravity…and the laws of supply and demand. Signaling oversupply, vacancy rates are running high. Economists are worried that China might be teeing up for its own version of the real estate ‘bust’ that delivered a body blow to America’s financial system. The fear is that if China’s real estate sector splutters the global economy might catch a nasty cold.
